Why did WWE not have John Cena face Kurt Angle in his last ever match?

Kurt Angle is one of the greatest to ever step foot inside the squared circle but we all know that the injuries and the years of wear and tear are catching up with him. Angle can't wrestle a long match anymore and booking a short match where he beats Baron Corbin may be the best way forward for Angle.

#1 John Cena may not be wrestling at WrestleMania

Despite a lot of fans expecting Cena to be at WrestleMania, this could be the harsh reality facing us at WrestleMania 35. John Cena may not wrestle at all this year and instead, maybe make a cameo appearance and cut a promo or hit an F5 against a lower card heel.

Cena only finishes filming his current movie days before WrestleMania 35 takes place and may not be ready to compete. He could also have another film project lined up soon after WrestleMania which will not allow him to wrestle and risk an injury.
