There's a famous saying that fits perfectly in the world of professional wrestling: "Never say never".

The Rock, Brock Lesnar, and Goldberg left WWE after WrestleMania XX. There was a point where the fans had lost hope of seeing either of them inside a WWE ring ever again.

The Rock came back weeks before WrestleMania 27 and went on to wrestle occasionally in WWE for the next 5 years. Brock Lesnar came back to WWE the night after WrestleMania 28, and proceeded to deliver a thunderous F5 on John Cena.

To promote its brand new videogame, WWE signed Goldberg just in time for Survivor Series 2016, and he went on to defeat Brock Lesnar in a matter of seconds.

Compared to these three Superstars, WWE and John Cena are on great terms and he will make his long-anticipated return soon, at least to wrestle a handful of matches and put over young Superstars.
