Could Kane become the new Universal Champion at the Royal Rumble?
#1 Kane deserves one final run as Champion

Kane during his first WWF Title reign
While I haven’t been the biggest proponent of Kane’s return, I may be in the minority when it comes to the Big Red Machine. There are plenty of people who would absolutely love to see Kane get one more go as a champion. He has historically only had short reigns with any World Championship he has held, and this reign would be the same, so it would keep that tradition alive.
Chances are very high that Kane will be riding off into the sunset after 2018. He’s aging, he’s slower, and he deserves to let himself heal after a 26-year career. Kane will be turning 51-years-old a couple weeks after WrestleMania. It’s time to hang up the boots, and I think one last reign, as short as it may be, would be a good way to reward his more than two decades as a WWE superstar.

I got my first big break writing for 411Mania back in 2004. I did a small spot in a big weekly piece that was written by one of the site's top writers. I quickly added the duty of being the live recapper for episodes of SmackDown, and in 2005 was given my own weekly column, which I did for a few years. I gave up writing (mostly) to start a family but got back into it, still at 411, a little over 3 years later. For another couple of years, I wrote 2-3 columns per week for the website before finding paid work elsewhere, and eventually wound up at SportsKeeda.
I am also the co-founder of the RBR: Weekly Wrestling Talk podcast, which started in the summer of 2005 and is still going strong today, almost 15 years later. Due to school, work, and family commitments, I left the team in 2011 but still remain a part of the family.
