Though many people didn't like the storyline, it's a shame that WWE never fully got to play it out. Jason Jordan was revealed as Kurt Angle's son, and it was meant to propel Jordan into a whole new level of stardom.
Though he stumbled at first, he slowly started to grow into the role, foreshadowing a heel turn before his untimely injury. Unfortunately, this not only put an end to the storyline, but Jordan's injury was far worse than expected.

It's very likely that Jordan vs Angle would have been a WrestleMania match, and that could have been the one where the "son" retires the father. Probably because WWE may have been expecting Jordan at one point, they held back on retiring Angle. Now, the time has come and its the second consecutive WrestleMania where Jason Jordan won't be cleared to compete.
