#4 Orton is currently WWE's biggest active competitor
2002 was a good year for WWE and Vince McMahon. The company struck gold when they found not one, not two, but four wrestlers who turned out to be huge draws, future world champions - two of them even found success in the movie industry.
Those four Superstars are John Cena, Batista, Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton. Of these four, two are part-timers, one is retired and the remaining one is still an active competitor. That active competitor is - you guessed it - Randy Orton.
Orton still wrestles full-time and appears regularly on TV. He was the youngest World Heavyweight Champion and has accomplished everything in WWE. Orton is the biggest active competitor WWE has right now, so crowning him the next WWE Champion will be a wise move for the company.
The last time he held the gold was in 2017 after winning it at WrestleMania. He went on to lose it to Jinder Mahal at Backlash. The WWE Championship is the company's biggest prize, and it should be held by the company's biggest star.
