Roman Reigns is currently involved in a major "mystery attacker" storyline, and another layer was added to this angle tonight, in the form of Joe suddenly becoming concerned for Reigns.

As explained before, this just doesn't seem as easy as it looks on TV.

What, however, is believable is the theory that Reigns, being the ultimate babyface, is slowly being tricked by a band of villains who want to put him out for good. The incident on last week's SmackDown Live was just the beginning, and tonight's attack was carried out to compensate for the failure from last week.
Don't be surprised if this angle ends with the big reveal of Joe, and at least a couple of villains (with Daniel Bryan possibly being the central scheming figure) as the mystery attackers of Reigns, resulting in the formation of a new heel stable.

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
