#2. WWE has encouraged him to do so

Vince McMahon knows good business when he sees it.
Vince McMahon knows good business when he sees it.

This is based on a report from Sportskeeda's own Tom Colohue. He alleged that Superstars are being encouraged by the company to try to convince CM Punk to return. In other words, Seth Rollins is doing Vince McMahon's bidding and trying to goad Punk into a match.

A number of members of the current locker room, as well as some notable wrestling legends, have been encouraged by management or production staff to reach out and connect with CM Punk with a view to convincing Punk to approach WWE management about an in-ring return. This has already started with names such as Seth Rollins and Booker T connecting with or speaking highly of CM Punk in public. There is apparently many more connections being made in private.

We're not big fans of this approach since it may not have the desired effect. Punk isn't stupid and he can recognize when the company is trying to take a roundabout approach to reach out to him.

If he wants to wrestle, he needs time and a fat paycheque to do so.
