Given the current nature of WWE shows where we see more promos, lesser in-ring action, and match reruns from the past, it's easy to understand why the TV ratings have fallen. However, Vince McMahon would still want as many viewers as possible and having one of the biggest draws of the company feature each week in a world title feud would help achieve that.
Seth Rollins is arguably the most well-rounded Superstar on the RAW roster given his ability on the mic and his dexterity to pull off great matches with opponents of every size. Even in the build-up to his match against Kevin Owens, Rollins cut some fantastic promos to hype up the faceoff and then went ahead to deliver a masterpiece on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

If given the opportunity, he can do the same with Drew McIntyre and keep the audiences hooked. A man who can talk and walk the talk is exactly what WWE needs to keep the buzz for the product alive and they get that with Rollins.
