When Seth Rollins originally brought out the Monday Night Messiah gimmick in early 2020, it caught on fairly well with the audience. It made all the sense too because whatever Rollins was speaking on the mic, he was bringing into effect through his disciples in the Authors of Pain and Murphy.
However, the AOP are now sidelined following Akam's injury and we haven't seen Murphy on WWE TV for weeks now. Without his followers, the Monday Night Messiah does not have the same impact. The empty arenas add to the woes as no live reactions from the audience makes things worse for Rollins.
Thus, in challenging for the WWE title, The BeastSlayer will also be allowing himself to start things afresh. We all know how good Rollins is as a heel who operates on his own. He could rediscover that side of his again where he'd leave no stone unturned in trying to get the win and in turn, entertain the WWE Universe.
