WrestleMania 34 had Brock Lesnar pitted against Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship. Initially, Reigns was supposed to win the affair and become the undisputed champion.

However, the script was flipped in the end and Lesnar successfully defended his title. Earlier today, footage came out which showed a furious Lesnar throwing the championship belt at WWE chairman Vince McMohan, who retorted by saying “a**hole”.

The outcome of that match annoyed a lot of fans as it was the perfect event to consolidate Reigns’ image as the Top Dog. Regardless of the heat that Reigns faced as a wrestler, he was at least a full-time entertainer for the company.

So, making a part-timer win the Universal title at the biggest WWE PPV of the year was something that couldn’t be labelled as a well-thought-out plan. As a result, this is WWE’s opportunity to correct the mistake that they made last year.
