Those in WWE are often accused of living in the bubble. But everyone's on the internet, and I'm almost certain that they see the amount of goodwill that NJPW has. Especially right now with how good the G1 tournament is.
When the Bullet Club started, there was a storyline where they held all of the gold, as you can see by clicking here. I'm sure WWE is attempting a repeat of the storyline, in a different promotion. This is supplemented by the fact that Michael Cole calls The OC 'the only club that matters', over and over again.
Did you know a top WWE Superstar just wrestled outside the company? More details HERE
The only reason why The Club must have changed its name to The OC is so that it seems like its own entity and not an offshoot of The Bullet Club. We know that WWE is not always kind to highly successful ideas that began outside the company.
