#2 It could hurt Roman Reigns
The WWE fans never liked Roman Reigns’ early success in the company. It is one of the main reasons why Reigns became the one of the most polarizing Superstars in WWE history.
However, since recovering from Leukemia, things have significantly changed for the former Universal Champion as the fans have now started cheering for him.
His Leukemia was actually a blessing in disguise for him. But, it wouldn't be shocking that the fans can turn on him anytime.
But maybe, WWE have learned from their past mistakes and don’t want to repeat it again. If Roman were to face The Rock at ‘Mania, then it was (almost) confirmed that he would have walked out victorious. And that would have added insult to injury.
After all, The People’s Champ is still our champ. Nobody wants him to lose, especially against his cousin, Roman Reigns.
It would have made us think that WWE has started over pushing Reigns again which was enough to bring heat towards him. WWE might have observed all the possible consequences, and maybe it is why this match isn't happening.
