#4 SmackDown needs some different tag teams with all of the recent changes
The wrestling world was rocked with the numerous roster moves made by WWE last week. Several long-tenured stars were let go due to the prevailing circumstances facing not only the entire world but also the entire wrestling industry. Everyone cannot be used due to restrictions placed on amounts of people allowed in public spots and at tapings.
Among those teams let go or who have been released in 2020 include Primo and Epico, The Revival, Gallows and Anderson and Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins. The Forgotten Sons joined the Blue brand after WrestleMania 36, adding to current teams like The New Day, The Usos, Miz and John Morrison, Heavy Machinery, The B-Team and the Lucha House Party. There are also the pairings of Bryan and Gulak, the Artist's Collective and Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode.
That's still a pretty deep division but still with some faults. The Lucha House Party and B-Team aren't serious threats to the title. The Usos and The New Day have fought each other numerous times over the years and are always in the title picture. Collectively, both teams have held the tag team titles 14 times.
Miz and Morrison were having an entertaining run as the title holders but they lost on the latest SmackDown. Heavy Machinery will be champions some time soon but adding a team like Fish and O'Reilly would completely refresh and shake things up in the division.
They would have great matches with every team and could even battle Gulak and Bryan if they switch to being a tag team this year. With new tag Champs, how much longer will Miz and Morrison be a tag team? When Robert Roode returns, how does he fit into things?
The fact is that UE is too talented to not be featured among the likes of The Usos and The New Day. There are several new tag teams on RAW as well but those are primarily ones that graduated recently from NXT. When they leave the confines of Florida, UE should join SmackDown and rejuvenate its tag team division.
