There has been a lot of speculations regarding The Undertaker's in-ring return. The sources say that he might face John Cena at the grandest stage of them all, Wrestle Mania. Now, it's not a secret that Cena Vs Undertaker was always the plan, WWE wanted to do this match but it never took off.
Even the fans were waiting to see Cena go up against Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania but in 2014 Brock Lesnar shockingly ended the streak and that dream match ended. However, there were still hopes that Undertaker will face Cena in his retirement match but that too never happened as last year he wrestled possibly his last match against Roman Reigns and lost it making his Wrestle Mania record 23-2, after the match he retired in the ring with a heartwarming ovation.
Now, there are rumors that he might return for one last match and honestly, it should not happen.
#5 He is too old to have a decent match
The Undertaker is probably the biggest wrestling stars of all time and he has been doing this for three decades, he had a 26-year long career and undoubtedly he is one of the reasons for WWE becoming a global success, but right now he is not in a very good shape. He is 52-years old and is too old to have a decent match. His last match with Reigns was one of the worst matches in WrestleMania history and if he comes back for more match, it can go even worse.
#4 He doesn't need to have one more match
The Undertaker has done a lot in WWE, his legendary 21-0 undefeated WrestleMania streak is untouchable and no one will come even close to that and it makes the deadman the best performer of Wrestle Mania. He wrestled in 25 WrestleMania matches, more than any superstars in the history, he is at the point where he doesn't need to come back for one more match, he had a legendary career and now he needs to relax in the home with his family.
#3 Another bad match will hurt his legacy
For quite some time The Undertaker is struggling to give a good match. His WrestleMania match with Roman Reigns last year was hard to watch, it was one of the worst main events in Wrestle Mania history, the reason why people were excited about this match is because it was his last match.
Even his Hell In A Cell match with Shane Mcmahon was below average. The last good match he had in the WWE was the Hell In A Cell match against Brock Lesnar in 2015, since then he is having the series of bad matches and it has done nothing but made him look bad inside the ring and if it continues to happen, it will hurt his legacy.
#4 WrestleMania 33 was his perfect sendoff
Last year Undertaker faced Roman Reigns at the main event of Wrestle Mania in a very predictable match. Even Though everyone wanted Undertaker to win, they knew the outcome would be Roman winning.
Roman Reigns pinned him in the middle of the ring and after the match Undertaker retired with a giant ovation, people in the crowd were seen crying as their favorite Superstar finally took his last ride with the one final in-ring appearance.
It was a perfect ending to his career, the character of a deadman looked like a human in his final match.
#5 His retirement will make no sense
Undertaker is a kind of Superstar who can still make the audience care about him, but if he returns for one more match, his retirement from last year's Wrestle Mania will make no sense, and not just that it will make WWE look bad. Why would a retired superstar return to the ring just to retire again, that makes no sense.
Undertaker Vs John Cena is rumored to take place at this year's Wrestle Mania, and yes fans will be interested in the match but there is no reason for this match to happen as Undertaker has already retired.
