#2 No one has benefited yet
Let's be honest here.
While the ultimate goal of reuniting The Shield was to finally put Roman Reigns into the top guy role that the company has dreamed for him, that doesn't mean he needs to be the only that benefits. In fact, WWE almost needs to have someone else benefit from this storyline or risk making it look like another one-sided push for Roman Reigns.

Going back to The Shield's original run, it was Daniel Bryan, that ultimately handed The Shield their first loss in WWE and went on a hell of a run afterwards. Interestingly enough, it was what eventually catapulted Bryan to top star status and put him in the hunt for The WWE World Heavyweight title.
In the end, how can The Shield break up when they haven't had this kind of moment yet? One would think this will eventually take place in some kind of six-man tag competition or a Universal title bout, but what's the point of any of it if The Shield broke up after only a few months?
