#1 Roman Reigns is still 'The Guy'

The company's long running plan to crown Reigns as the Universal Champion is not going to change simply because a small pocket of fans will throw a fit if that happens. Sorry to burst your bubble - but Roman Reigns is going to be The Guy in WWE because that's what Vince McMahon wants.

Since his loss at WrestleMania this year, Reigns won against Samoa Joe at Backlash (main event), won against Jinder Mahal at the Money in the Bank PPV, and lost to Bobby Lashley at Extreme Rules. But then again he won a triple threat match against Drew and Balor the following night on Raw.

That's not to say he'll win 16 world titles or bury other talents as a result. It's just that he'll consistently be featured in major matches and storylines until someone steps up to take his place, and that may not happen for another five years or more.
