#2. Character
Babyface, Heel, Good-guy, Bad-guy. All terms which have become somewhat outdated over the decades of pro wrestling. Where once upon a time a roster or match card would be made up of the classic "Good vs. Evil" angles, now we see a slightly more neutral approach, letting the fans decide for themselves who they want to boo or cheer from their actions rather than the manufactured characters.
Pete Dunne comes across with a confident bravado. A gutsy, tough attitude from the gritty Birmingham streets which raised him. He's not going to play into the crowd's hands, he's going to swagger to the ring and beat you up. This toughness and silently cocky attitude has been his major selling point thus far for wrestling fans getting behind him. With this in mind, it's clear that Dunne can mould himself into a situation and still gain respect from audiences even if he is being pushed as a heel superstar.
