5 reasons why WWE's Vince McMahon wants to push Batista as a heel

Has the Animal been unleashed?
Has the Animal been unleashed?

In what was a genuinely marvelous strategy to end Monday Night Raw, WWE has now effectively planted the seeds for a monumental dream match between Triple H and the returning Batista.

Both icons got into a heated confrontation earlier at the 1000th episode of SmackDown Live, which was cooled by 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair.

With the Animal brutally ambushing Ric Flair in front of a global audience and coercing the Cerebral Assassin to notice, it seems ideal that these two collide at WrestleMania 35 this year.

Batista's startling return has broken the internet. Moreover, his heel turn has sparked a lot of debate around the internet wrestling community, with many claiming it to be a wrong move from Vince McMahon's billion dollar company.

Fans drowned out a popular wrestler with 'She's a racist' chants recently

Considering that the turn has perfectly drawn the lines between Triple H and Batista, WWE's decision to present the former World Heavyweight Champion as a villain in this rivalry seems as reasonable as contentious.

So, without further ado, let's dive deep and predict the 5 reasons why Vince McMahon wants to push Batista as a heel.

#1 His last babyface run failed to gravitate the right amount of attention

Learning from the past
Learning from the past

Let's get this straight - Batista's last involvement inside the squared circle as a singles superstar was a disaster.

Vince McMahon's idea of pushing the Animal to the top of the mountain instead of Daniel Bryan coerced the WWE Universe to turn on the former World Heavyweight Champion.

Batista's victory at Royal Rumble 2014 was vehemently criticized by the entire wrestling world, and the backlash suffered could have led Vince to make an alarming decision.

Considering that a return as a babyface was certainly expected, turning him heel could only be to avoid the past creative mistakes and move ahead with Dave as a monstrous heel.

While his attack on Ric Flair struck a chord with the audience, we still don't have any clear explanation on how this will pan out.

#2 Batista Vs Triple H demands The Animal play the villain

This is a genuine thought
This is a genuine thought

Triple H's current position as the Chief Operating Officer of the WWE requires the Game to be in a more interactive spot on a weekly basis. The same cannot be said about Batista.

It's commendable that the creative team perfectly executed the entire angle and portrayed Batista as the returning villain who wants nothing more but to embarrass Triple H on the biggest stage.

Their last confrontation was solid enough where The Animal savagely downgraded The Game for never being able to outshine him, and this will play a pivotal role in advancing this narrative.

Moreover, there have always been speculations about the former World Heavyweight Champion wanting Hunter to retire him in his final bout as a wrestler, and if the same outcome is destined to happen, it's understandable why Vince wants to endorse The Game as a white meat babyface.

#3 Triple H immediately propelled Seth Rollins after Batista walked out in 2014

Is the Animal seeking revenge?
Is the Animal seeking revenge?

Another significant reason for pushing the envelope with Batista as a villain could be related to what happened the night Seth Rollins turned his back on the Shield and changed the entire complexion of the wrestling world.

Earlier that night, Batista refused to continue aligning with Evolution after not receiving a single one-on-one match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship which he actually deserved.

Despite being in such a powerful position, The Game never tried to push Batista against an underdog in Daniel Bryan, and replacing him instantly with Seth Rollins the same night worked as a final nail in the coffin in their friendship.

While this theory may seem a little absurd, this could genuinely play well in the entire angle as a solid reason, with Batista criticizing Triple H for forgetting their allegiance to put more emphasis on his managerial duties.

A more reasonable villain could work very well against Hunter and could be an interesting way of seeking revenge against the entire Evolution, especially Triple H.

#4 Pushing him as a monstrous villain for a solid feud with AJ Styles

This could be riveting
This could be riveting

If there's a momentous time for us all to be excited about the future, it is now. Batista's outstanding portrayal of a villain could be a sign of all the beautiful things that are about to happen after WrestleMania 35.

Since The Animal has been a pivotal component in pushing the blue brand to the top of the heap, he should be a sensational opponent against the caretaker of SmackDown Live, AJ Styles.

The Phenomenal One's unexpected confrontation with Vince McMahon saw the latter coercing the former WWE Champion to unleash the animal within him, and while many of us fell for that AJ Styles Vs Batista rumor, this could be an ideal time to push this angle and make it work.

This will definitely be a money feud on the blue brand and would be another efficient step in endorsing AJ Styles as the main star of SmackDown Live fighting it out with a villain in Batista.

#5 Vince needs a solid villain to lock horns with Seth Rollins for a possible Universal Championship program

This could be interesting
This could be interesting

If we're thinking long term here, then Batista's propulsion to the top of the ladder could play a very interesting role in setting a solid match between The Animal and Seth Rollins.

Since The Architect is definitely the favorite to walk out of New Jersey with the Universal Championship, Vince McMahon needs a heel of Batista's stature to keep things heated on Monday Night Raw.

And there's no denying that the former World Heavyweight Champion also deserves a singles match for the gold, considering that he never received one in the first place, despite outshining 29 other competitors at Royal Rumble 2014.

Seth Rollins Vs Batista for the Universal Championship makes a lot of sense and would definitely entice more anticipation if Triple H plays an influential role in igniting more drama into the feud.

While many predicted Batista to return as a babyface, his heel turn could be a very tactical decision in making him a bigger prospect for the future.
