Their last confrontation was solid enough where The Animal savagely downgraded The Game for never being able to outshine him, and this will play a pivotal role in advancing this narrative.

Moreover, there have always been speculations about the former World Heavyweight Champion wanting Hunter to retire him in his final bout as a wrestler, and if the same outcome is destined to happen, it's understandable why Vince wants to endorse The Game as a white meat babyface.
