Adam Pearce comes into the match against Roman Reigns as the clear underdog and nobody really believes that he can take the Universal Championship off the man. Moreover, anyone who understands the business side of WWE understands that Roman Reigns is in the midst of the best run of his career and it would be foolhardy to expect him to drop the title to Adam Pearce anytime soon.
WWE could always choose to put the title around Adam Pearce's waist in a crazy sort of finish where someone interferes to set up an angle, thereby nixing Roman Reigns' Universal Championship run. But at the same time, can anyone really believe that Vince McMahon will take the Universal Championship away from the Tribal Chief at this time?
Why would anyone be invested in seeing a Roman Reigns vs. Adam Pearce match, if they believe that there's no chance in hell of a title change from the underdog, unless they want to see a slaughter?
