Since winning the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36, Drew McIntyre has defeated a slew of Superstars. After vanquishing 'The Beast' Brock Lesnar, McIntyre has defeated former champions like Big Show, Seth Rollins, Dolph Ziggler, and Randy Orton.
The Scottish Psychopath has defeated wicked heels and has played his part as a babyface to the T. Although he's led the RAW division well, put on good feuds, and defended his title consistently, fans are eventually going to get tired of how he is packaged and the feuds that he is in.
WWE could maybe try to mix things up and put McIntyre in a comedic angle, which could showcase a different side of him. This could show fans that although McIntyre is a good guy, the WWE Championship is still dear to him, and he will do everything in his power to keep hold of it.
This may not be a long-term feud, but could be a stop-gap one before another feud, or to set-up a new one.
