#2 Daniel Bryan constantly puts others over
One of the biggest parts of Daniel Bryan, the WWE employee, is his desire to help out the rest of the roster. Without his fantastic work as the Planet's Champion, the Kofi Kingston storyline wouldn't have been as effective.
He fell to Kingston in that feud and it was one of the best angles of the last few years. That wasn't the first or last instance, however, of Daniel Bryan putting over another WWE star.
In the last year alone, he's helped a lot of the SmackDown roster look good. It started with Sami Zayn and Drew Gulak. At the end of 2020, Bryan even put over Jey Uso when the latter emerged as one of The Tribal Chief's first challengers.
It's a huge deal in wrestling to be willing to put over a WWE star known mainly as a tag team specialist. There aren't a lot of stars from yesteryear that would do what Daniel Bryan has done for the roster. Even before that, Bryan put Murphy over during the whole "who attacked Roman Reigns" angle.
Murphy had just debuted on SmackDown following a successful stint as the Cruiserweight Champion. Doing that for a newer star can often help them make it with their first big angle in WWE.
In the last few months, Daniel Bryan has put over several stars from the blue brand. Nakamura bested him en route to an impressive showing in a gauntlet match.
Cesaro defeated Bryan in two singles matches as the two showed mutual respect in the process. They even both started the SmackDown Elimination Chamber match.
Putting others over is not something that every WWE Superstar does, but the former WWE Champion has done more than his share. Daniel Bryan's willingness to make newer and different stars look good makes him deserving of another shot at a major WWE title.
His dedication to the craft also makes him deserving of at least one more run with a major WWE title. The run as Universal Champion doesn't have to be lengthy, especially with Money in the Bank soon after WrestleMania. It would be an easy way to garner a lot of heat for the star that would cash in the briefcase on Bryan.
There are stories left to be told with the former WWE Champion and it's time to reward him for his loyalty to WWE.
