#1. Potential spoiler for Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar at WWE Day 1
In last week's Brock Lesnar roundup, we spoke of Drew McIntyre being the next challenger for the Universal Championship at WWE live events. He will take on the winner of the title match at Day 1, which is likely to be Roman Reigns.
McIntyre and Reigns have been on opposite sides at recent WWE live events, taking part in a six-man tag team match also involving The New Day and The Usos. It seems like a proper feud between the two is being planned potentially for Royal Rumble.
This is the likely cause as WrestlingNews.co noted Brock Lesnar does not compete at house shows:
"McIntyre vs. the Universal Champion is scheduled for several shows in January and while the card can always change, this would indicate that the plan is for Roman Reigns to retain the title this Saturday at Day 1 and defend it against McIntyre at the Royal Rumble PPV. Lesnar does not wrestle a house show schedule so it’s unlikely that McIntyre vs. Lesnar will be happening next month."
While the match at Day 1 will not be the end of the feud, The Beast Incarnate may be out of the title picture for a little while. He could very well win the Royal Rumble Match to get another shot at Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38. Whether or not Brock Lesnar wins then is another discussion.
