WWE rarely releases giants from their roster. Instead, Vince McMahon has apparently followed a policy of hiring bigger and more muscled wrestlers to the company once again.

Thus, when Killian Dain was released from the company, it came as a shock to most fans. Dain, while not the tallest, was one of the most talented giants in the company.

His incredible strength and ability to throw his opponents around saw him become one of the most popular stars in NXT. Even after a failed jump up to the main roster with the rest of Sanity, he managed to find his feet when he came back to NXT.

A success from his days in the UK independent wrestling scene, Dain aka Big Damo seemed like he would be a sure-shot success in the company. However, the company released Damo in the latest round of releases.

Dain’s storyline as a tag team with Drake Maverick was also getting over with the fans, which made his release even more puzzling. Hopefully, WWE can correct this issue and hire him back as he has the potential to be one of the most entertaining stars in the company.
