The Nature Boy is one of the biggest stars in wrestling history

Ric Flair is a true icon of WWE.

Joining the industry decades ago, the Nature Boy's career has been unlike any other, and has seen plenty of shocking stories and swerves along the way.

In 2007 though, Steve Austin reportedly gave a new idea for the Dirtiest Player in the Game, based off the recent blockbuster hit, Rocky Balboa.

Resembling the Italian Stallion, the plan was for Flair to topple several top stars in the company, getting more in character like his older self, mimicking Rocky's return to the ring in the film after years of retirement.

This story would've even seen Flair win a 17th World Championship, an unprecedented achievement that no-one else could compare to.

Though Flair jumped at the idea, the angle never went past a first meeting, and Flair retired in 2008.
