# 3 Hulk Hogan in Mr. Nanny (1993)
Hulk Hogan had already been in a couple of feature films with No Holds Barred, that was released in 1989. But Hogan was playing a wrestler/fighter, more akin to his WWE persona. He was in Suburban Commando, released in 1991, which didn't light the box office on fire. In 1993, Hogan tried his hand again at comedy with Mr. Nanny.
In the film, Hogan is a former professional wrestler who is hired as a bodyguard for a tech tycoon, and has two 'bratty' kids to protect. Call it the Kindergarten Cop syndrome where Arnold Schwarzenegger scored a hit in 1990. It's a simple formula.
Put a strong, massive man with children and allow the hilarity to ensue. That formula didn't work in the case of Hulk Hogan, who was already on his way out of the WWE. Mr. Nanny was a flop when it came out and didn't help Hogan's chances of becoming a Hollywood actor.
The result of Hogan's acting career not taking off was that he ended up in WCW the following year and eventually gave birth to the nWo. Sometimes, good things do happen.
