The character of The Undertaker was born in the late '90s, when WWE was still catering to families and kids. Over the top characters were the norm back in those days. These concepts didn't always succeed though, as the infamous debut of The Gobbledy Gooker flopped horribly at Survivor Series 1990. What fans remember most from the PPV though, is another debut. The Undertaker made his presence felt for the first time, as a part of Ted Dibiase's Dream Team.

The gimmick was as ridiculous as it could get. The Undertaker was basically a dead man walking, who possessed a bunch of supernatural powers. The gimmick not only took off, But The Undertaker also went on to become one of the biggest Superstars in the history of this business. His WrestleMania streak became a USP for the annual extravaganza.
It's incredible how WWE and Vince McMahon managed to turn such an unbelievable gimmick into gold.

He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
