When Kurt Angle was announced as being the headline act for the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame, the internet exploded.
Thousands upon thousands of fans were eagerly anticipating an in-ring return for the Olympic Hero at WrestleMania, with the most obvious opponent for the returning legend being none other than the Bulgarian Brute Rusev.
It's a match that makes a lot of sense, however, at this point, not only is Rusev injured, but Angle's only involvement at Mania is slated to be the induction ceremony followed by a quick pose in front of the live crowd in Orlando.
Will he still be utilised on either Raw or SmackDown Live? Potentially, but this does feel like a big opportunity missed with all things considered. Oh it's true, it's damn true.
