#3 Roman Reigns becomes a dual champion
Cageside Seats scared the socks off of Roman Reigns' haters earlier this year when it reported the following: "It's still expected that Roman Reigns will become a double champion, so don't expect him to lose the US title on Raw next week.."
Yes, the gossip column said that Reigns, who was United States Champion at the time, would also win the Universal Championship to become a dual champion. While it's completely understandable that WWE wants to push Reigns as the heir apparent to Cena, no one in WWE, Reigns included, needs to hold two titles at once.
Booking a double champion essentially means that one of the titles being held by that superstar will become completely irrelevant, which, in turn, leaves a number of the show's mid-carders without anything substantial to fight for. Imagine, for example, if Brock Lesnar were the Universal and Intercontinental Champion or if Jinder Mahal were the WWE and US Champion.
Completely unnecessary, right? Especially when two titles are around the waist of someone like Reigns, who is pushed incredibly strongly whether in a title feud or not.
