5 Rusev Actions On SmackDown Live That Prove He Is A True "Bulgarian Brute"

Rusev, his wife Lana, and the couple's former friend Aiden English were all involved in a rather uncomfortable segment on this week's episode of SmackDown Live. The aforesaid segment was presented as "One Night In Milwaukee: With Aiden English", and saw the latter accuse Lana of being disloyal to Rusev.

Despite English presenting highly-volatile, possibly incriminating evidence which may have led many to believe that Lana had indeed cheated on Rusev on that fateful night in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Rusev handled the situation like only someone of his tenacity can. This ongoing angle is undoubtedly one of the hottest happenings in the professional wrestling industry today, and is a storyline which has a ton of potential to be everything that a controversial one toeing the lines of the PG norms can.

Despite Rusev trying his level best to hunt down the man who dared to disrespect his loving wife Lana on live television, the former failed to get a hold of the slippery customer that is Aiden English. Well, the night is still young, and as this risque storyline progresses, you can count on it that Rusev would surely get his hands on English more than once.

One of the core values in Bulgaria is that of the man of the family defending the honor of said family's members, including that of his wife. Now, with that in mind, it may not really come as a surprise to many that Rusev dug deep into his soul -- one of a pure, strong Bulgarian Brute -- to fire himself up and chase after his deceitful ex-ally English.

When talking about family values and the unadulterated bond of love that binds a Bulgarian household, Rusev is a shining example of the same -- defending the honor of his wife no matter how chaotic a situation he happens to find himself in...

#4 Defusing his wife's troubles on TV

The strength of the love and trust between Rusev and Lana is unquestionable

Let's face it, from a kayfabe perspective, Rusev and Lana have had an extremely interesting relationship over the past few years as shown on the WWE's TV shows as well as WWE-based reality television programming. In fact, in both the real and reel worlds, Rusev and Lana -- much like most other couples -- have experienced their fair share of joys and challenges together.

Arguably the biggest talking point which, ironically, no one seems to have noted; is that Rusev stayed true to his real-life persona on this week's SmackDown Live episode, and refrained from grilling Lana about the controversial footage revealed by Aiden English. In fact, in a backstage segment where Rusev was seen hunting for English, when Lana tried to broach the topic, Rusev stated that SmackDown Live isn't the time or place to discuss these things...The Bulgarian Brute explained that they'll speak about it later -- truly dealing with the sticky situation like the gentleman he is...

Coming from a background of legitimate athletic pursuits such as rowing, power-lifting and amateur wrestling; Rusev is one of the more legitimate tough guys in the world of professional wrestling. As has been noted on a myriad of occasions, one of the most important attributes of any full-contact sport is the ability to keep one's emotions in check.

Real or not, Rusev's composure in the middle of the ring on SmackDown Live -- in the face of the unspeakable atrocities Aiden English committed on their now-ruined friendly relationship -- is something that's incredibly rare. The Bulgarian Brute was cool and composed in light of the vile accusations "The Drama King" made against the former's wife Lana.

Well, speaking about war -- a situation characterized by chaos -- Rusev, like many other great warriors in history, has been known to follow a set of important rules as a way of keeping himself grounded and disciplined.

It's the aforesaid set of rules which the Bulgarian Brute follows, that caused him to refrain from launching a careless attack on Aiden English. It's indeed set in stone, that when Rusev finally gets his hands on his friend-turned-enemy, the attack that the former shall unleash on English will be methodical, well-paced and brutal -- not because Rusev respects his enemy as a person, but since Rusev knows what a deceptively agile English is capable of skill-wise...

Resident WWE brute Rusev is in fact a thorough professional

Should it have been most other men in place of Rusev, they'd probably have called it a night after the preposterous segment on SmackDown Live which saw Aiden English try to drive a wedge between Rusev and Lana.

Well, thankfully, Rusev is much more stronger than most others! After the conclusion of SmackDown Live, Rusev & Lana went up against Jimmy Uso & Naomi in their Mixed Match Challenge (MMC) tournament match.

While the match ended with Naomi pinning Lana, the contest itself was incredibly awesome as Rusev paid homage to Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay, Scotty 2 Hotty, and Jimmy Uso's father Rikishi) with the glasses and trademark pose during a dance-off.

Not only did Rusev keep his composure and make sure Aiden English is sent scurrying away like a coward, but also made sure that he refrained from lashing out at Lana over the cheating allegations.
