5 "Say What?!" Moments From Monday Night Raw 8.8.16

Roman crashes a party...

It was a night of celebration, humiliation and revelation in Anaheim, California last night as Monday Night Raw invaded the Honda Center.

With less than two weeks remaining until SummerSlam, both Raw and Smackdown rosters are leaving it all in the ring, in hopes to be booked on the card for what has evolved into the second largest annual WWE event of the year.

There was plenty of hard-hitting action in the ring, but if you were paying attention, you may have noticed a few things that caused you to do a double take. Here's a look at five "Say What?!" moments from this week's Monday Night Raw!

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

#5 JOBBERS GETS PRE-SQUASH INTERVIEW

Who?

Here's something we never see. Prior to his match with Braun Strowman, Anaheim area independent talent Jorel Nelson got to do a pre-match interview with Byron Saxton. Unfortunately for Jorel, he didn't say anything. Nothing.

Nelson is an independent wrestler out of Los Angeles. He typically works for several L.A. area promotions, including Empire Wrestling Federation.

Once the pre-match formalities were done, Strowman made quick work of the aspiring young Jorel Nelson, ending the match in roughly 40 seconds. Oh well, at least he can say he made it to Raw!

#4 RINGPOSTISITIS

The DOC-ter is in.

This was great. The two guys who were once the feared henchmen of The Bullet Club, are now doing comedic backstage segments, where they dress like doctors and hold a jar containing a couple of boiled eggs. Only in the WWE.

Last week, as we all know, Anderson and Gallows put Big E on the shelf when they racked the poor guy on the ring post. This week was all about mocking the incident and attempting to do the same to Kofi, however, Woods made the rescue for Kingston, salvaging his "jewels."

#3 THE DEMON WAS SUMMONED

The stage is set for an epic SummerSlam clash!

Seth Rollins and Finn Bálor are geared up for what promises to be a historic battle at SummerSlam. The Architect meets The Demon, with a huge prize on the line- the newly introduced WWE Universal Championship.

As we saw on this week's Raw, Bálor delivered a Bray Wyatt-esque backstage promo that surely made the Eater of Worlds crack a grin. However, this has nothing to do with Wyatt. This is all about the showdown between Rollins and Bálor and according to Bálor, Seth will indeed meet the demon.

#2 PUFF DADDY EATS BOOTY-O'S

They make sure....you ain't booty!

Puff Daddy was this week's special guest on Monday Night Raw. During the backstage segment he was having with Raw GM, Mick Foley, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston walked in, with the tag team titles AND a box of Booty-O's in tow.

During the segment, as Puff and The New Day were exchanging pleasantries, Puff Daddy grabbed Kofi's box of Booty-O's and helped himself. Not to mention the GM, Mick Foley had a handful as well.

It was a cute segment, but in all seriousness, it is looking increasingly obvious that the New Day is quickly approaching the end of their WWE Tag Team Championship reign. Will Anderson and Gallows be on deck to take the titles?

#1 The CAKE!

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to!

It was a celebration fit for a king and his queen. Rusev and Lana were set to celebrate their recent nuptials live on Raw. There was a beautiful setup for Lana. She looked amazing in her dress and even Rusev was dressed to "crush."

In the midst of all the celebratory events, there was a sound that usually draws an array of boos. However, for once, Roman Reigns was cheered by the Anaheim fans in attendance. The WWE Universe was happy to see Reigns, because even he was more interesting than the idea of a wedding celebration for Rusev and Lana.

During the commotion, Rusev inadvertently bumped into his bride and blammo!, Lana eats cake!

Not the way she wanted, but she got the first bite nonetheless.
