When Mick Foley debuted in the WWF in 1996, he took this idea literally, becoming the deranged Mankind, representing the sins and darkness of all of humanity.

Feuding with the Deadman would quickly elevate the Death Match legend, as the two monsters battled in the inaugural Boiler Room Match.
