Heading into SummerSlam 2015, Seth Rollins was already the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. And to make matters even more interesting, Rollins was had engaged himself in a feud against John Cena, right after he had successfully retained the WWE Championship over Brock Lesnar at the Battleground pay-per-view.

With Cena also in possession of the United States Championship at the time, "Big Match John" proved his worth every week by defending the title on a regular basis as part of the John Cena US Open Challenge. However, their match at SummerSlam 2015 was no open challenge. Both Cena and Rollins had the same amount of time to prepare for a Winner Takes All Match at The Biggest Party of the Summer.
And while it did seem that Cena was on the verge of a historic win over WWE World Champion, Seth Rollins, thanks to unlikely interference from Jon Stewart, led to Rollins pinning Cena and walking out of SummerSlam with both titles wrapped around his shoulder.
