Who else was it going to be, right? Right from the time that Triple H joined the company, he became great friends with Shawn Michaels and the rest of The Kliq - Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and X-Pac - and that was nearly 25 years ago.

The two would go on to form D-Generation X together and ruled the backstage politics of that era. And, when Shawn needed to see if his body was capable of a comeback after years away injured, it was Trips who led him through a critically acclaimed Street Fight to show him that he still had it.
Hunter inducted The Heartbreak Kid into the WWE Hall of Fame and now with the former primed to take over as the next head of the company, expect Michaels to play a role in the new age that will dawn on the world of WWE.
