Fastlane 2019

Elimination Chamber was a mind-boggling PPV, and it definitely met the expectations of the WWE Universe. Numerous titles were defended at Toyota Center, but the US title and Universal title were not on the line. Though some bouts were prodigious, some matches let down the fans.

Fastlane is the upcoming PPV of WWE which will take place at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. There is no denying that the show has an immense significance, as it is the final PPV before the Show of Shows in New Jersey. Some of the storylines are likely to continue till WrestleMania, and the fans will get a clear view of the WrestleMania match-card after Fastlane.

The Raw after Elimination Chamber had some shockers as four NXT Superstars were drafted to the main roster. Since all the NXT call ups started their main roster careers on winning notes, they are expected to play a significant role at Fastlane.

Moreover, the former Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, is scheduled to appear on Raw next week, and it will be interesting to see if he will play an essential part in WrestleMania 35.

Here we discuss five shockers that could happen at Fastlane.

#5 Lacey Evans could have a first one-on-one match

Lacey Evans was one of the six NXT call ups drafted to the main roster last year. However, she has not wrestled in a one-on-one bout after making her main roster debut. Her sole main roster performance was at Royal Rumble when she entered the women's Royal Rumble match at number one.

It is unclear what WWE wants to do with Evans, and her gimmick has confused the WWE Universe. Evans appeared at Elimination Chamber and on the Raw after Elimination Chamber, but she returned a minute later. There is no denying it is frustrating for the fans, but WWE could have bigger plans for Evans.

Considering Evans lasted 29 minutes in the women's Royal Rumble match, she definitely made a mark. In fact, she also eliminated the IIconics before Charlotte Flair threw her out of the squared circle. The former Raw and SmackDown women's champion, Alexa Bliss, made her in-ring return at Royal Rumble, and she could be a credible opponent for Evans at Fastlane.

#4 Zelina Vega could turn on Andrade for Aleister Black

Aleister Black was one of the NXT call ups who debuted on the Raw after Elimination Chamber. The Dutch Destroyer appeared on the following SmackDown Live where he faced his former NXT rival, Andrade Cien Almas. The two superstars had a spectacular bout, and Black was victorious in his first SmackDown Live match.

Black and Andrade have a long history in NXT where they collided a couple of times. Black was a former NXT Champion, and he also won the NXT male competitor award in 2017. While Andrade was also the NXT Champion, he lost the title to Aleister Black at NXT Takeover: New Orleans.

There is no denying that the two superstars are immensely talented in the squared circle and they could continue their rivalry on the main roster. Since Black locked horns with Andrade this week, they could extend the rivalry till Fastlane.

With Zelina Vega involved in this rivalry, it could become an exciting feud for the WWE Universe. Vega, who is the on-screen manager of Andrade, is the real-life spouse of Aleister Black. Hence, Vega could turn on Andrade for her husband in Cleveland, and the feud could become more captivating.

#3 Kevin Owens could cost Bobby Lashley the Intercontinental title rematch

Presently, Bobby Lashley is having an intense rivalry with Finn Balor and the two men collided at Elimination Chamber. Balor grabbed the Intercontinental title after overpowering Lashley and Lio Rush in a handicap match at Toyota Center. Since Lashley lost his title, he is expected to get a rematch at Fastlane.

Kevin Owens is currently recovering from a knee injury, but he is likely to be back in the squared circle before WrestleMania 35. As a matter of fact, WWE showed a video of Owens on Raw where he expressed his excitement to return.

Owen's last bout was with Lashley when the former Universal Champion lost to Lashley. Subsequently, he assaulted Lashley, but the rivalry could not extend following the injury of Owens.

Therefore, Owens has a big possibility to come back in Cleveland, and he could restart the feud with Lashley after costing him the Intercontinental title. The rivalry could continue till the Show of Shows, and Balor might get a new challenger in New Jersey.

#2 Becky Lynch could get added to the Raw women's championship match after beating Charlotte Flair

The Raw women's championship match has been the focal point of WWE after Royal Rumble last month. The match is likely to main-event WrestleMania 35, and it could become the first women's match to headline the Grandest Stage Of Them All.

Meanwhile, Charlotte Flair replaced Becky Lynch to face the Raw women's champion, Ronda Rousey. Lynch won the women's Royal Rumble match at Chasefield, and she was scheduled to collide with Ronda Rousey in New Jersey, but she was removed from the match after getting suspended for 60 days.

Nevertheless, Lynch is still embroiled in this rivalry as she assaulted Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair at Elimination Chamber. It indicates that the company is pushing to have a triple threat match at WrestleMania 35.

Considering Lynch and Charlotte Flair had numerous memorable bouts in the past, they could steal the show at Fastlane. The two former best friends might collide with a stipulation and Lynch might become part of the Raw women's title match if she manages to defeat Charlotte at Fastlane.

#1 Bray Wyatt could help Daniel Bryan retain the WWE title

Daniel Bryan survived the traditional Elimination Chamber match in Toyota Center where he defeated five other superstars to retain the WWE title. Though Kofi Kingston came close to pinning the WWE Champion, Bryan managed to overpower the New Day member. In fact, Kingston was announced as the next opponent of Bryan, and he is set to face him at Fastlane.

Considering Bryan's great run as the WWE Champion, he is expected to retain the title at Fastlane. Erick Rowan helped Bryan beat AJ Styles at Royal Rumble, and he could be a threat for Kingston. Since Rowan could get outnumbered by the other members of the New Day, Bray Wyatt could return to lend a helping hand to the current WWE Champion.

Bray Wyatt has been out of WWE for several months, but he appears on house shows. The former WWE Champion could return before the Show Of Shows, and Fastlane could be a perfect time to make a comeback.

Considering Bryan was part of the Wyatt Family in the past, it makes perfect sense to assist him at Fastlane. Wyatt could be a great challenger for Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35 if the two men start a new feud.
