As SmackDown Live General Manager, Daniel Bryan often clashed with the commissioner Shane McMahon, though the duo never came to blows.
But now with a bonafide mean-streak, and the WWE Championship as well, Bryan and Shane will be working closely together again, with Bryan the flag-bearer for Team Blue. This could easily lead to a confrontation between the two, with the heel Bryan being against the never-say-die attitude of Shane.
Hell, this could even lead to a WWE Championship match, and whilst it's unlikely Shane would win the prestigious title, stranger things have happened (such as Vince McMahon winning the title).
Even if there was no match, a feud between the face McMahon and the heel former Yes! Man would definitely excite SmackDown fans in 2019.
