#4 The Shield implodes

This was more heartbreaking than shocking to most fans, especially the kids. The Shield turned face on March 17, 2014, only to be stabbed in the back by Seth Rollins a couple of months later (June 2, 2014) causing The Shield to disband. Many fans thought that it was only a matter of time before The Shield would break up, but very few thought it would be Seth Rollins who would sink the ship.

In a way, this was good for all three men because they had debuted as a team at the Survivor Series two years prior. So, having an additional year of the same old stuff wasn't going to cut it, you can't blame WWE for wanting to switch it up a bit.

Also, they "grew into their own skin" so to speak, once they all became solo acts. Roman became The Big Dog, Dean became The Lunatic Fringe, and Seth is The Architect, Monday Night Rollins, all that jazz.
