#1: The Nexus was not happy about losing to John Cena

At Summerslam 2010, the Nexus was set to have their biggest match ever.
After completely dominating Monday Night RAW since their debut just a few months prior, the team of rookies was scheduled to face off against seven of WWE's finest stars, led by John Cena.

The reported original plan, was for the Nexus to emerge victorious, in what would've been the group's biggest victory of all time.
However, the plan was changed, and Cena's team emerged the winners, with Big Match John getting two eliminations.
Speaking after his 2016 release, leader Wade Barrett said that no-one was happy with the change, as it would damage them severely.
Sure enough, the Nexus was never the same threat they once were and were a shadow of their former selves just months later.
