5 Shocks we might get this week on RAW and SmackDown

After an eventful FastLane PPV, what can the WWE Universe expect next?
After an eventful FastLane PPV, what can the WWE Universe expect next?

FastLane 2019 was in many ways an eventful PPV. From some very interesting and entertaining matches, last minute match card changes, interferences, and post-match beat downs, WWE tried and somewhat succeeded in giving fans a good show.

Being the last big stop before the grandest stage of them all, FastLane was expected to begin new feuds for WrestleMania, and advance the once already started.

As expected, none of the championships changed hands at FastLane, as all the 5 championship matches ended with the champions retaining their titles. The non-title matches also managed to create hype for WrestleMania and deliver.

With Ronda Rousey interfering in the match, Becky is now inserted into the RAW Women's Championship match at WrestleMania making it a triple threat. Also, the main-event saw one of the biggest factions in WWE History, The Shield seemingly having their last match together.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

While FastLane is history now, WWE still has almost a month to build towards the Showcase of Immortals. As the Road to WrestleMania moves forward, fans can expect to see some very interesting bookings in WWE programming, both on RAW as well as SmackDown.

In this article, let's take a look at the 5 surprises that we can get this week on RAW and SmackDown. These surprises can surely hype-up the build towards WrestleMania 35, and get the WWE Universe more interested in the ongoing storylines.

#5 Batista attacks Triple H backstage, leading to a brawl

Time to play with
Time to play with "The Game"

This past week on Monday Night RAW, Triple H gave a very amazing and personal promo making it very clear how upset he was with Batista's attack on Ric Flair during his 70th Birthday celebration.

This week, WWE is advertising a face-to-face segment between these two former team-mates. But if we consider Batista's recent character turn, he wants to play the game on his terms.

An amazing way to get this feud immediately to the fifth gear would be to have an all-out brawl between The Animal and The Game this week on RAW. A Road to WrestleMania without a crazy brawl won't feel that exciting after all!

#4 Samoa Joe calls out John Cena

Will we finally see the dream match?
Will we finally see the dream match?

Just a couple of weeks ago, no one was even thinking about this match. Out of nowhere, Samoa Joe came out to challenge Truth for the United States Championship and won the title last week on SmackDown.

With R-Truth continuously mentioning John Cena in his promos and even using his moves in his matches, it is rumored that Cena would be returning to the ring at WrestleMania 35 to challenge Joe for the United States Championship.

Till now, WWE hasn't officially used Cena's name, but it all could end this week with Joe cold-calling John Cena for a match at the grandest stage of them all.

#3 Ronda and Stephanie get into a heated exchange

How will Stephanie react to Ronda's actions on FastLane?
How will Stephanie react to Ronda's actions on FastLane?

During the match between Becky Lynch and Charlotte at FastLane, Ronda Rousey interfered and attacked Becky, causing her to win via DQ and get added to the RAW Championship Match at WrestleMania 35.

Now the look on the face of Ronda after the attack had "I'll do anything to get what I want" written on it. Remember how Ronda almost ordered Stephanie a couple of weeks ago to add Becky to the match at WrestleMania.

After her actions at FastLane, Ronda could have a heated exchange with Stephanie, probably breaking the 4th wall again and questioning the business!

#2 Kofi Kingston hijacks SmackDown

Whatcha Gonna Do when KofiMania runs wild on you, brother.
Whatcha Gonna Do when KofiMania runs wild on you, brother.

Since the last one month, WWE has constantly been teasing us the rise of Kofi Kingston to the top. But be it on the SmackDown Gauntlet Match, The Elimination Chamber Match or the recently concluded FastLane PPV, Kofi is yet to break the ceiling and win the big one.

Now WWE would be foolish to not use the crowd support of Kofi to deliver an amazing segment on SmackDown. I'm talking about a Ring Hijack by Kofi and his army.

This would be similar to what his current opponent and WWE Champion Daniel Bryan did 5 years ago. It would be great seeing Bryan be on the opposite end of the story which made him the hero at WrestleMania 30.

All and all, WrestleMania 35 looks set to be the KofiMania.

#1 Roman Reigns confronts Dean about his status with WWE

Will Roman try to convince Dean to stay?
Will Roman try to convince Dean to stay?

After the FastLane PPV, the news of Dean Ambrose leaving WWE looks more legit. WWE mentioned on TV that he's leaving the company, leading to many think that all this is a work. But the emotions that the Shield portrayed during their "last" match at FastLane seemed very real.

But still, there is a chance that all this could be a swerve, maybe one of the best swerve WWE has pulled in a long time.

After last nights epic main-event, Roman Reigns can confront Dean Ambrose on RAW, trying to convince him to stay in WWE. This can either lead to a feud between the two at WrestleMania, or maybe just an interesting segment to boost the ratings. Vince could just make use of the hype around this news even if Dean is actually leaving WWE.
