5 Signs of a Randy Orton-Kevin Owens feud and what to expect

It's quite a possibility.
It's quite a possibility.

It is evident from the last couple of weeks that Kevin Owens is stirring quite a lot of emotions in the SmackDown Live locker room.

However, his path has taken a diabolical turn since he crossed roads against Randy Orton.

There are many signs that indicate brewing of a new saga between the “Prizefighter” and the “Viper”, and what could we expect to unfold in the next couple of weeks.

#1 Mr Orton lost his streak, thanks to Mr Owens

The streak began in 2003.
The streak began in 2003.

Randy Orton has always been the survivor or the last man to be eliminated from his team in a Survivor Series elimination match, until this year.

The attack from Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn distracted Orton’s last tag partner, Shane McMahon, leaving him with no one to tag. This resulted in his elimination from the match.

Sadly, the elimination also marked the end of a rather unique and unprecedented streak.

#2 Orton loathes Kevin Owens

We are likely to see more of these.

The week following the Survivor Series, Daniel Bryan revealed that Randy Orton was given the night off because the Viper proclaimed he would take no responsibility for what he might do to Owens.

This gave us an inkling of the detest the “Viper” has for the “Prizefighter”.

The following show, both Superstars were booked in a match. Orton was in no mood for an interview prior to this match and was adamant to teach Owens a lesson and almost did so.

Check out further to explore what future might hold for these two Superstars.

#3 A steel cage match is definitely on the cards

There will be no escape.

Last week was a punishing experience for the “Prizefighter” as Randy Orton would stop at nothing to hurt Kevin Owens. Just when it seemed that there is no escape for Owens, his guardian angel, Sami Zayn, snuck in with a chair assault.

This helped Owens finish on top.

This extends the possibility of a steel cage re-match between the two Superstars to avoid any outside interference.

#4 The Clash of Champions

It would be interesting to see how these two Superstars are booked for this PPV.

As of now, both Randy Orton and Kevin Owens do not hold a title. Hence, it is improbable that these two would be booked in a match at the Clash of Champions.

If Sami Zayn gets involved in a title bout, it could lure Kevin Owens at the ringside. This could encourage Orton to be involved in the tussle as well.

Nevertheless, a backstage assault is always on the cards. Not only will it enhance the sparks, but will also give a head start for what comes next at the Royal Rumble.

#5 The Royal Rumble

At Royal Rumble, ring apron will be a risky place to be.

Currently, neither of these two Superstars is in the main event picture for WrestleMania. But hey, this doesn’t mean they can’t try their luck to at Royal Rumble.

However, with the current animosity these two have, it’s more likely they would end up with a double elimination in the Battle Royal elucidating the main event possibilities for both.

Come what may, we are assured to be treated with intense matches between Randy Orton and Kevin Owens in the near future.

Whom do you think will walk out victorious from this war? Sounds off in the comment section.
