#2 The Universal Championship can't keep changing hands so frequently
The Universal Championship has pretty much become a passing-the-parcel game in the last few months as it has changed hands too frequently. While it is always exciting and buzz-worthy whenever a World Champion gets defeated by his challenger and loses his title, it happening, again and again, devalues the prestige of the Championship.
Firstly it was at WWE Super ShowDown where Goldberg unexpectedly won the Universal Championship by defeating The Fiend. And then, on his very first title defense at WrestleMania 36, he ended up losing to the Monster Among Men.
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
In fact, in both his reigns as the Universal Champion, Goldberg has never had a successful title defense, thus proving the point that he has always been used as a transitional champion to ultimately put the title on some other Superstar.
Now Braun Strowman doing the same and losing the Universal Title on his first defense would be a little overkill and might end up hurting the reputation of the Championship. The title needs long and memorable reigns to gain more credibility.
