#2. WWE is far too invested in The Fiend

This is, in our opinion, the most justified reason as to why Daniel Bryan won't be allowed to become Universal Champion. Wyatt took over 8 months off before making a return with his new gimmick - the Firefly Fun House.
We could get into a whole article in itself as to why The Fiend is better than The Eater of Worlds, but that's an entirely different story. What it has done, however, is give WWE higher-ups the realization that they need to go all-in on The Fiend character.

There were many rumors at the time stating that WWE is fully committed to Wyatt and Vince McMahon is determined to make the gimmick work. So far, it's worked wonders and can only continue to do so.
In WWE, things are cyclical and everybody gets their turn. For Bryan, it was late last year until WrestleMania 35 and for The Fiend Bray Wyatt, his time is now. It's clear that WWE is fully invested in The Fiend right now and has done too much to warrant a sudden title change. It would undo months and months of effort from all parties.
