#1 Daniel Bryan can take the loss

Daniel Bryan is one of those Superstars who always passes the torch to younger talents. Even though The Fiend isn't a brand new talent, he is still young, at only 32 years old.. He's also one of the most prolific wrestlers on SmackDown right now. Bryan is a wrestler who can afford to lose many matches without losing the favor of the crowd. In the past, he put over younger talents like Mustafa Ali, Buddy Murphy, and even NXT Champion Adam Cole! We can be pretty sure that he wouldn't mind doing the same to The Fiend. He had done this before, so why not again?
Bryan just has had a character change and even if he loses against The Fiend at Royal Rumble, WWE has a whole new set of opportunities with Bryan's new persona. The Universal Champion needs a lot of momentum behind him if WWE wants him to play a huge role at WrestleMania.

If that is the case, then Wyatt needs to retain his Universal Championship against Daniel Bryan, with a clean victory in the middle of the ring. This would be the best way for Bray Wyatt to get some real steam behind him.
