#1. Being built towards a title opportunity

Why is there always this idea that if Vince McMahon doesn't rocket launch a Superstar into the title picture, that he has somehow been given up on? Some critics feel that a Superstar could go from mid-carder to top guy in a matter of months and it just doesn't work that way.
Unfortunately for fans, that's not what is happening with Aleister Black, which may be why they think the rumors of Vince McMahon giving up on him true. WWE deciding to have him lose at Money in the Bank and taking away his original entrance has only furthered these rumors. But it may be because it is too soon for him to be afforded a championship opportunity.
In the end, Vince McMahon still needs to do some fleshing out with Black's character before he will ever be taken seriously as a top guy. Now, that's not a slight against Black or a way of saying that he doesn't have what it takes, it's just a fact that he needs more depth to his character before working up the card.
