#2 Brock Lesnar's booking
While a lot of the WWE Universe might be thinking the company is crazy for going back to this rivalry again, it might actually be their best option going forward. Beyond that, it might be better for Brock Lesnar to take on a more worthy challenger and leave the rest of the Raw roster alone.
If nothing else, Lesnar is starting to take losses to smaller guys like Seth Rollins, which is putting him a very vulnerable position booking wise. With that in mind, Lesnar losing to Velasquez would be much easier to explain away and the company wouldn't have to sacrifice their top guy's creditability again.
For example, if Brock Lesnar were to go one on one with someone like Kevin Owens. Sure, it would be a dream match and give fans hope that The Prizefighter would come away with the title, but doing so would hurt Lesnar's credibility. As for Velasquez however, he and Lesnar are both former UFC fighters, which makes it harder for The Beast to lose legitimacy.
In the end, WWE needs to be very careful about how they book their Beast for several reasons. The first is the fact that any wrong move could shatter Lesnar's credibility going forward and diminish him as a draw. The second reason is that WWE needs to transfer some of that credibility to another cross-promotional star, which is where Valesquez comes in.
