This stipulation would have added a whole new dimension to the match
Every year, we speculate with regard to the in-ring status of The Undertaker before WrestleMania time. Every year, he does manage to come back and perform at varying levels of success. So much so, that we're almost used to the drill now. Adding a special stipulation to the John Cena vs. 'Taker match would have just made it a lot more special.

The stipulation- 'victory or retirement'. This is something that the WWE Universe can certainly buy into considering that both men have been on a part time schedule of late. Even if one of the performers was to actually 'retire' as the outcome of this match, we all know how easy it is to come back through a WWE storyline.
There's absolutely no motivation to watch the Undertaker vs. John Cena match otherwise. It's just two legends having a regular match and little more!
