#1 The WWE championship match's main event

The WWE Championship is one of the most prestigious titles in the history of professional wrestling. It has been held by some of the all-time greats in WWE history including Bruno Sammartino, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, and John Cena.
However, the match for the big gold belt has not closed out a PPV since Fastlane 2018 where AJ Styles defended the WWE Championship against John Cena, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin, and Dolph Ziggler.
The things get even worse when we talk dual-branded PPVs. A WWE Championship match has never headlined a dual-branded PPV after Battleground 2016, where Dean Ambrose defended his championship against his Shield brothers Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns in a triple threat match.
Even an Intercontinental Championship match has headlined a dual-branded PPV at Extreme Rules 2018. Yes, the WWE Champion Daniel Bryan was in the main event of Survivor Series 2018, but it was a non-title champion vs. champion match, and we are talking about a match for the WWE Championship.
This disrespect has to change. Elimination Chamber 2019 is the perfect opportunity for WWE to bring their most prestigious title back to the main event, where it truly belongs.
