The New Day were able to defeat Heavy Machinery and the defending Champions, Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan, in a triple threat title match, and they will likely head to SummerSlam as the Champions.
It might make more sense for WWE to book a New Day vs. Bryan and Rowan match at WWE SummerSlam, but with Heavy Machinery heating up as a tag team on Smackdown Live, it does not make sense to keep them out of a high profile match at the big PPV next month.
New Day vs. Heavy Machinery could be a very fun, competitive tag team title match, which could end up earning Otis and Tucker their first runs with the WWE Tag Titles on the main roster.
