With English gone now, it's the right time to push Rusev again.

WWE not pushing Rusev to the top of the card when the whole WWE Universe was vociferously cheering for him and then breaking his partnership with Aiden English is the typical way of them telling everyone that they don't care what we, the fans like or want. Despite being probably the most over superstar on the entire roster in the first half of 2018, WWE astonishingly kept Rusev a heel instead of turning him into a babyface.

Even when he started a somewhat weird babyface turn around the WrestleMania season, WWE continued to book him as a stepping stone for the top tier superstars instead of giving him a run with a championship. Given the talent that he has and the success that he achieved during his early run, it is a shame that WWE has not pushed him consistently.

However, with his partnership with Aiden English coming to a sad end last week on Smackdown, it is now the perfect opening to finally develop Rusev back as a dominant mid-card superstar. With superstars like Styles, Joe, Orton, Miz, and Bryan comfortable in the main event scene, the US Title scene is the perfect place for him. A lengthy feud with Shinsuke Nakamura, with whom he shares tremendous chemistry, and a long due US championship win later this year would be the best way of celebrating a Happy Rusev Day.
