#1 Bret Hart
The Canadian icon spent the majority of his pro-wrestling career in WWE. He was one of the biggest WWE Superstars in the 90s, and carried the company for a brief period at the time. Following the infamous Montreal incident at Survivor Series 1997, Hart made his way to WCW where he had already secured a contract. He didn't manage to do much of note in WCW and never succeeded in becoming as big as he was in WWE.
Hart's career was cut short soon after suffering an injury at the hands of Goldberg in a match. Several other injuries contributed to Hart being forced to retire. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006, and went on to face Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 26 in what was dubbed by many as Hart's shot at revenge for what had happened 13 years ago.
Hart appeared at AEW Double Or Nothing last year, and unveiled the AEW World Title that was eventually won by Chris Jericho.
